An Optic Nerve is a large group of nerve
fibres which run from the back of the EYE
to the brain. Impulses are sent from
the eye to the brain along the Optic
Nerve so that they can be sorted out into
the shapes and colours which we see.
If the Optic Nerve of one or both eyes are
damaged a lose of sight to one or both
eyes will occur.
